Red Sauce Rebellion Brings Modern Italian to Excelsior

Italian food has never been so exciting - especially when acclaimed chef Eli Wollenzien is leading the charge. To prep for the December 2017 opening of Red Sauce Rebellion in Excelsior, MN, Hot Mustard PR handled branding, PR and social media. We created the logo and website; hosted a media and influencer event; and provided social media strategy, content and management. The attention (from the Star Tribune, City Pages, Eater and from notable Instagrammers) continues to pour in.


Al’s Place Lets Guests in on the Secret – While Staying Shady

The newly opened speakeasy was seeking creative ways to let people in on the secret in an authentic, understated way. We created and delivered media mailers, including personalized letters typed on antique paper, gold (chocolate) coins, and food & drink menus. In addition, Al’s partnered with four local influencers to share their cocktail and food experiences, and created a unique presence on social media. Al’s received media coverage by Minneapolis-St. Paul Magazine, Star Tribune, Minnesota Monthly and City Pages. The social influencers drummed up a number of new fans and generated 200K post impressions.


Primp Boutique Amps up Spring Shopping Season

In Spring 2018, Primp had lots of exciting news to share, with announcements about price decreases, a new plus-size line, and a Fashion Week event, We pitched the announcements to local media and organized a Fashion Week Giveaway for its Spring pop up event at Brick x Mortar to drive attention. Local influencers came into Primp to get outfitted for the event, and shared stories about shopping for outfits and the event itself on Instagram. Resulting news coverage included Minneapolis-St. Paul Magazine, MyTalk 107.1, Minnesota Monthly and more, for a total of half a million quality impressions.
